RYOBI ONE+ 18V Cordless 1/2 in. Drill/Driver (Tool Only) P215BN

I bought this to replace a roughly fifteen-year-old Ryobi One+ drill that still worked, but whose chuck would no longer grip any drill bit small than 1/8". (The old drill will now serve as a driver, since it has no trouble gripping a 1/4" hex screwdriver bit.) Some reviewers mentioned getting the drill in a bag, and speculated that it might be a refurbished unit. This one arrived in a bag, but the bag was securely packed inside an Amazon carton, along with another item I'd ordered. Included was an original owner's manual. As far as I can tell, the drill is brand new--no scuffs or scratches. I'm 99% certain this is not a refurb. In general, I've found Ryobi drills to have plenty of torque and good battery life. I own a number of other Ryobi One+ power tools and like them all.

This is a fantastic product for our business. We don’t need anything heavy duty. Or really using it for is dryer vents and you don’t want a super powerful drill for it because that can actually potentially damage the vents. The battery life is pretty good. Overall, I think that it’s always good to have an extra battery that’s always charging so that you can always switch back-and-forth. By the time you’re one battery is dead, and the other battery should be charged. I like that it has the hammer options on the drill as well. While it isn’t the strongest one. You can still use it to go through masonry.

Not a climate change guy, but have converted 100% to RYOBI ONE+ 18V. One charger, can swap batteries if I need to, no electric cord, and these guy's are high quality, priced right. Have used daily on many projects. Large chicken coop, raised bed garden boxes, deck and cover and they never fail. Highly recommend.

Nice, lightweight, and ergonomic drill. Easy to change bits and the LED light is a nice feature when working in dark places. Uses most Ryobi One + batteries and works well. This model didn't have a small magnetized tray to hold spare bit and that is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars

Would buy again

I have a friend with more strength than he can manage! He tightened the chuck on my original drill so tight that nothing we could do would release it. We tried wrenches, we even tried sawing it off to get at the screw that holds the chuck on the drill. Nothing worked. A new chuck, had we gotten the damaged one off would cost 1/4 of what replacing the entire drill did. It could not hurt to have spare drill anyway at this price even if yours works fine. Projects can go faster with two drills with different bits at hand.

We had one like this before, so we just had to buy another one. It is a great tool many different speeds and attachments works great. It’s not too heavy and it has just the right amount of power to get the job done. I would definitely buy it again if I had to

My original Ryobi drill lasted about four years with plenty of remodeling work around the house including drywalling an entire garage. It finally bit the bullet while trying to drill a 4 inch hole through the side of my house for a vent. It would've cost me $30 for just the replacement motor. When I saw this listing for sale I jumped on it. Really can't go wrong with this drill for $40!
