I do not know if it fulfills its main function (water softening), but it sprays terribly. It is impossible to use. First, there are not three, but actually two modes in it (two of them are no different). But due to extremely small holes, water is supplied with such pressure that it creates the feeling that thousands of needles are pricking you. This creates a strong flow of air and it seems that you are washing in the cold wind. The water has to be made very hot. And closer to the spray gun it is hot, but while it reaches the feet, it is already cold.I'm not talking about the fact that the water flow is not quite as full as shown in the photo. It takes a very long time to direct it to one part of the body to wash away the gel. In vain the money spent. Discarded after the third use. And I'm sorry that I also bought a spare cartridge. It's in my main bath shower which is a hand held set up. The water stream is great! This one has two settings and both feels very nice. I've only had it less than a month and so far it's awesome! It is doesn't soften the water, it surely feels like it. I bought the orange one after this one. I was looking for a hand held that titled a bit for adjustment but it looks like no maker is thinking of that. The heads are 'fixed' in that area.
