Excellent basic weather station
The Wittime 2180 weather station provides all the basic indoor/outdoor weather information---without the fancy multicolor, constant backlight, and flashing icons. Included are the usual temperature, humidity, min-max, time/date, and barometric pressure. Also, the remote sensor has good transmission range; the reliably-sensitive “atomic clock” includes seconds; and the barometric pressure a useful histogram. Missing is the moon phase. But what distinguishes the Wittime 2180 is that all of its setting buttons are on the side (not the back), with the alarm buttons on left side separated from the weather buttons on right side. The display is uncluttered, logical, and easily read; and the battery-operated backlight is adequate. In all, the Wittime 2180 functions accurately and reliably as it should---basic, nothing fancy, without any shortcomings. And for that I give it a 5-star rating.

Fantastic Weather Clock
Very pleased with this for keeping tabs on the weather and humidity! The interface is just the right amount of information without being too overwhelming. Temps are accurate, and as a Canadian I love that it has the option to switch between both F and C for temps. I think the most unique part is the forecast based on air pressure. It's been spot on and is helpful if I'm planning on going for a walk; I can just look over and see quickly if it displays a sun or a little rain cloud. I've also had it going for 7 months so far without needing to touch the batteries. EDIT: 07/23 After a lot of fiddling and eventually purchasing a replacement unit, I realise the wireless sensor was not working because the batteries were running low on the main unit!! As soon as I replaced them, it picked up the sensors and the backlighting worked again. I wish it was a little more obvious. Also highly recommend buying a $2-3 replacement plan when buying this!! Guess the second one will be going in the bedroom lol.

Love this Wittime indoor/outdoor thermometer!
I had to return my first attempt at replacing my thermometer, so was very apprehensive about receiving and setting up a new one after all prior stress. First of all the box that the product came in was impressive looking and then the directions were very clear and extremely legible, so I did the first step, which was installing batteries in the weather station and the outdoor sensor. I had read reviews that told of needing to manually set the clock the first time even with an atomic clock Station. I had to step away for a few minutes before beginning that time input, and when I returned about two minutes later, the clock was set and perfect all by itself. I was very impressed. I then put the outdoor sensor near my eaves in the front and began watching the temperatures, both inside and outside adjust to what I believe is perfection. There was no work involved at all in setting up my weather station, and I am very happy with it. It’s a little larger than all the others I read about, and that is another huge plus. It’s on a shelf and I can see it while I’m sitting at the kitchen table to keep track of the time and check how I should dress for the day. This is definitely a five star product.

Great weather station
Works great and doesn't take up much counter space.

Accurate, well designed and easy to use weather station.
This weather station provides the most significant weather information most people want and it is at a value added price point compared with other weather stations. Indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity readings are accurate as verified by other instruments. Time and date data quickly synchronizes with the WWVB signal. The included manual is well organized making the set up process easy to follow. The weather station only requires batteries for long life power (no power adapter required), so it provides great flexibility in how you choose to mount the display. A backlight display is activated by pressing the button on the top of the display making it convenient to read if in dim lighting.

Great Display, Tricky Operation
Here’s what I like about this unit: 1. Large, clear display with well-formed numbers, and it has a light. When activated, the lighted display is bright and easy to read in a darkened room, and easy to turn on with a button on top. 2. The units use AA instead of the smaller AAA batteries, which require frequent replacement. 3. The temperature is accurate, within 1°F of a mercury thermometer. 4. Date/Day/Time (HH/MM/SS) are all on the screen at the same time. 5. I like the barometric pressure trend indicator. It claims to set itself; I don’t know how it could do that, so I set it to match the altimeter setting at the nearest airport. 6. Buttons on the side can be pressed with the unit mounted on a wall, although I would prefer “set up” type buttons to be on the back, out of the way. (See buttonology usability issues below). Here’s what I don’t like: 1. The display is glossy and has a lot of glare (watch the posted videos and you will see this). A matte screen protector for an 8” tablet, cut down to the size of this screen, solves this problem. 2. The “atomic” clock is between one-half and one second fast compared to my four other atomic clocks, consisting of two La Crosse thermometers, a La Crosse wall clock, and an Oregon Scientific digital clock. Those four atomic clocks match each other exactly, as would be expected. 3. You can’t read daily high/low temperatures without pushing a button to cycle through them. I wish they were on the screen all the time, like the La Crosse units I previously used. 4. They could free up space for the previous wish by making the humidity number a lot smaller. I would rather the humidity were not equally prominent as the temperature. 5. The dew point displayed is difficult to use; you have to cycle through the “Mold” menu to get to it, and it replaces the temperature. It would be more useful if it replaced the humidity because dew point is another measure of humidity. 6. There are three channels for temperature sensors; I have two. A minor point: When toggling between them, it should skip the unused channel. 7. The buttonology has some usability issues: a. A single press of the MODE button starts changing the time zone, and that button is in a prime spot that should be taken by a more frequently used button; the upper right. It is easy to accidentally change the time zone. This should be in a setup menu because it is not accessed frequently. b. A single press of the AM/PM button switches between 12 and 24-hour time, also in a prime spot, the upper left. It is easy to change this accidentally. This also should be in a setup menu because it is not accessed frequently. c. The pressure setting button is also an odd button (SNOOZE/LIGHT) and it would be better in a setup menu. d. They forgot to explain what the SNOOZE/LIGHT button does for the two alarms. My observation is that it silences the alarm for about 5 minutes and you can do this over and over. As the documentation DOES say, pressing any other button silences the alarm for 24 hours. 8. The single nail wall mounting is not so secure. I had to add feet on the back or other friction devices to minimize swinging from side to side when pressing the side buttons. 9. The outdoor temperature sensors' single screw mount is also not secure and has a piece sticking out of the back that prevents it from hanging flat. (If that is necessary for airflow, it should have been incorporated better into the case design.) 10. The weather prediction takes up a lot of display space and is not very accurate; weather forecasting is considerably more complex than tracking pressure changes. I would rather have the temperature hi/lo data on the screen all the time. 11. The comfort (how to dress) index is not so accurate either. It could be better if users could set the temperatures that they consider comfortable. The screen space would be better used for other data. All this being said, these units (I got two) come closest to anything I saw on Amazon to meeting my needs, and they are reasonably priced. I expect to keep them.

Nice design; easy to set up
Very nice unit. Easy to set up. The data display is excellent and the backlighting is very bright. It took a bit longer than expected for the atomic clock to sync up, but it did so after I set the clock manually. With one exception, the instructions were pretty easy to follow. There was a sentence in the outdoor sensor pairing instructions that indicated the sensor receiving icon would become "stable" when the sensor was connected but there was no explanation of what stable meant (i.e., on or off). I emailed the vendor and got a prompt response clarifying the term. The outdoor sensor paired up nicely with the indoor base from two different locations but the distance is only about 12 feet. I have no reason to beleive the outdoor sensor readings aren't accurate, but the under-eave locations where I've placed the sensor makes it susceptible to trapped heat and radiational heating from the driveway or porch.
