The installation guide was straight forward and the adjustable arms allowed it to fit my road bike. I was looking for something long and sturdy that would support my travel bag. Without this rack I would have resorted to cycling with a backpack which, if you do any amount of cycling, you know your back gets really sweaty. Overall the construction is study and the paint finish looks nice. The only thing I would change is the reflector which seemed a bit cheap. There was no easy way to attach my personal rear light, however, there was enough space between the wheel and the bottom of the rack that attaching the light to the seat tube did not impare visibility of the light to oncoming traffic. Overall, very satisfied:)

The assembly was easy and the quality of materials is excellent. Self-locking nuts are a nice touch.

The product itself seems sturdy so far. The instructions were a set of pictures of the parts included & a "close-up" of how it looked on the bike. That's it. It did say there was a video, but we didn't look at it. Maybe we should have. Judging by the included intructions, I wouhave high hopes fornthe video. One clamp even came assembled wrong which luckily was easily fixed once we realized it. It took way more time than I think it should have to finish. Perhaps it was my daughter & me just being bad at assembling, never having installed a cargo bike rack. It may not be a problem for others. Once on, it feels very secure & stable.

Well seat post clamp does infact stick out enough for my leg to hit it slightly. I installed this on my road bike so I could bring my lunch bag to work and ride to and from work on my roadbike when I wanted to. The quality seems pretty good, it did have some black paint off of it in spots but I just covered it up with my own. It was hard to actually assemble it without anyone lending a hand to hold things in position while attempting to wrench a nut on. So the seatpost it barely fit my seatpost as it was but other reviews had mentioned that the clamp is a hit too thick and your leg will touch it as you pedal and this is true. It's not too bad though but time will tell if it's something that will eventually be a big bother or not.

The bike rack came with the tools and accessories needed for installation. The instructions could have been better! This bike rack is very adjustable and should fit most any bike. It's light weight but seems pretty durable. I'll include some pictures in an updated review in a few days.

Nothing to dislike - I bought this to use with my Arkel pannier backpack and it's perfect. I installed it on my mountain bike and the only difference in the actual vs instructions is that I could not use the pads on the seat tube as it was larger than expected and the pads made it too wide to connect and still feel like it was solid. Pads worked fine on the lower tubes though. Happy with my purchase.

There is only a screw on one side of the side struts and despite max torque one came loose on the very first ride and the strut fell on the ground. There is no nylock, loctite or jam nut on the screw. The strut sections both make a constant, annoying rattle since the inner part fits too loosely in the outer sleeve. The struts came with the screw extremely tight at the shortest length and when opened revealed big holes in the paint on the inner strut. On a standard 700 bike, 26" wheels the side struts have to be extended almost max. The rubber gaskets have no adhesive backing so they keep falling out during assembly. Instructions manual is unusable. Bungee cord is tiny and too flimsy to hold anything on. Lever mounts on strut need to be unscrewed almost completely to get them over the frame, then screwed back on each time the rack is mounted. I am going to get a tube, flatten the ends, and drill holes in each end to replace the crap adjustable tube. It is going to be longer so the rack can be slid farther back. The only good thing about this rack was that the angle of the seat post clamp was perfect for the angle of my seat post so it sits level. Too early to tell if the welds will fail as others have reported.
