I originally bought a cheaper unit and had a ton of trouble keeping the wire centered under the cutting wheel. Returned it and bought this unit. It took just a bit of tuning but once I got a feel for the adjustment wheel it worked great!! This unit is very stable once mounted to a bench top or a Work-Mate bench. I actually removed the inlet wire guide and just guide the wire with one hand and crank the wire thru w/ the other hand. It goes very quick and helps you keep the wire under the cutting wheel. It works especially well on larger diameter wire (>10ga) but once you get it set it runs smaller wire very well too. Overall a very good value and tool.

Today I sold #1 Bare Bright Copper for $5.08/lb, #1 Cu @ $5.04/lb and, #2 Cu @ $4.84/lb !!! Huh? I picked this one because it had the largest wire processing capability for this type of stripper & within my budget. But it is solid AF, and comes with an extra blade (& the bearing within the blade). THICK metal build, THICK wire guide, I like it. *Would recommend better life choices that lead to a source of income that lands you far above and beyond any reason to spend time scrapping copper. *Would if I could, but I can't so I shan't. -Happy Hunting

Not a bad stripper once you get used to using it like any other tool it’s has a little bit of a learning curve and I found out the hand crank is best for me at least jumping around from different gauges trying to get the right cut depth because some of the copper wire if you cut to deep it actually ruins the copper so like I said take a little time but once you are use to it you can strip a lot of wire

Works Great. A little learning curve. works best if you feed the wire slightly lower than the gripping wheel. Stripped 200 lbs in just a few hours. It would have taken a few days without this product. Blade is still sharp at this point! Yes; I reconmmend this product!

So I ordered this item and the first time I used it it was perfect just for what I needed then when I went to go use it a week later and on a smaller size the middle wheels would not move in close enough for me and they we stuck it seemed like I was so happy with this product the first time I used it but after yesterday messing with it for 2 hours and being let down don't get let down it's a waste of money!!!! So I get an email a few days after this review saying they were sorry and if I wanted my money back I could have it back all I had to do was say refund or something like that and I did but in the beginning I wasn't asking for my money back they offered well we've been going back and forth and they keep asking for pictures and I told them I don't have the paper waight because it's in my storage because it doesn't work and i don't even know why it's in there anyways and I tell them I'm almost done with the job I did it by hand and sent them pictures of my hands all cut up now there acting like im lying and asking for a video of it I never asked for my money before they offered so I told them to keep the money they need it more then I do don't buy anything from them it's just a pain in the ass RUN!!!!!

Stripper works well on larger sized wire , but struggles on smaller wire. I've tried numerous different ways to align the smaller stuff , and it still gives a problem.

I have stripped miles of wire with this device. I have ran 5/0 all the way down to 18 gauge through it with little problems. You can leave the handle off and put a drill on it. The only down side is that i did not get it sooner! Beware of what brand you buy, my buddy bought one the looked identical but a different brand and it can not grip the smaller wires.

Once you play around with it and set it up correctly it does its job. Had to customise some holes to work with some cables but it works
