I noticed there a couple of negitive reviews before buying this socket. I took the chance and it worked flawlessly, zero issues. I even used it on a heavy duty impact gun and it spun the large nut off without any problems what so ever. I checked the inside of the socket and it just wore off a little of the black anodizing and that's it. I would highly recommend this product, great value and good quality.

The socket is of high quality. Due to the shallow design of the axle nut, it is difficult to use any socket like this with a breaker bar to remove a highly torqued axle nut. With the nut being so shallow, it is easy to get the socket (any socket really) cocked resulting in damage to the socket. My second attempt with an impact wrench was successful. It is good that this socket is aluminum since I would rather damage it than the axle nut.

Got this tool to remove the rear wheel to replace the tire. This tool works on both side of the swingarm. You can use it to remove the wheel or the whole hub assembly. I tried using a breaker bar with a short 1/2" extension and that rear axle nut did not want to budge. End up using a 1/2" high torque impact to remove the nut and though the hole where the anvil goes in, it got a little distorted and on the tool there's a lip that will come in contact with the cone spacer marring it up. I probably take this tool on a lathe and remove that lip on the wheel side. The tool fits and though it got a bit of distorted but it works and got the nut off.

Quality tool, nice feel, worked perfectly for my 950SP. Even after using impact gun to remove nut, no damage to nut or tool. Just use a bit of tape. Recommend.

While this socket did remove the nut from my Ducati 996 rear axle, it also removed a ring of paint from the rear wheel because of the way this socket face is cut! So frustrating!! All they’d have to do is turn the chamfer down further on the corner of the socket face to remedy the problem. Super upsetting design flaw.

Get a mid strength impact wrench and voila! Little ratchet isn't going to get it done. Socket stands up to the 150 ft lbs of torque.

Fits perfectly on both sides and is nicely machined. Great deal!

Works good, got this for my Ducati.
