We haven't really used them yet but will be doing so on a trip we're taking very soon. They do fit the side bags really well and my idea for using them is just to keep everything together and be able to grab the liner if we need to take things inside the hotel. I'm not sure we'll be using them all the time otherwise to be honest. One of my side bags stores my rain suit and bike cover (a half cover) so those things don't need to be in a liner. There's more room in the side bag for a few smaller things but I don't need to use the liner if I want to get at my rain suit quickly. We're still debating whether it would have been better to only buy one liner instead of two but the jury is still out on that since we haven't used them on our trip yet.
