Will it measure in ounces?

No it only measures in lbs and kg, I just do the math, convert ounces to kg as the resolution is a tad higher. It will measure in resolution of 0.05 lbs. or .002 kgrams. it will also do tare, by putting the cylinder on the scale and pressing zero.
