More than expected
I really thought this was going to be the equivalent of hard plastic. Both the spacer and the lever is made of metal and works great. Definitely an upgrade from the factory turn knob. Installation was easy and operation is even easier. The lever can be adjusted to the preferred tension so that the throw range hold the swivel tight or loose.

Works, but not as in the instructions
My 2 month old Harris bipod has too short of a threaded axel to install this lever per the instructions. There are not enough threads showing to use the bushing (part C). I just left the bushing off and installed the threaded arm. Works just great - I can freeze the bipod in a position, or quickly adjust it.

Fine
Seems to be ok. Came with some stain around hole. No problem, will see how long it will work.

Must have upgrade
If you own any “S” series Harris bipod this is a must have, unless you’re one of those people that uses pliers to permanently set the factory tension knob to a certain tension level and keeps it that way forever. But if you want to quickly and easily release the tension, adjust the cant of your rifle because the bipod is on uneven ground then lock things down again without having to fumble with the original little factory knob when wearing heavy gloves or you’re in a rush to take the shot, this is a necessity. They install easily and if you read (AND PAY ATTENTION TO) the instructions, once installed can be set so that a single throw of the lever clockwise will lock the swivel aspect of the bipod in position. There is a spring inside the collar of the lever that allows you to pull backward on it and rotate the lever in either direction without affecting the current tension setting. You then release the lever to set it in a new position. This is how you set the minimum or maximum tension possible from one full throw of the lever, which because of the bipod base where it attaches to the rifle is just over half a revolution. The way I have mine set, one quarter turn counter-clockwise releases the swivel just enough to make any cant adjustment needed, then one quarter turn clockwise completely locks the swivel in place and prevents any movement what-so-ever. I would never buy a Harris “S” series bipod without also getting the “S” lock to go with it, unless of course they should someday happen to start shipping that way. Hint, hint, Harris...

Easy to install and tightens and stiffens the cant on ...
Easy to install and tightens and stiffens the cant on the bipod in order to shoot precisely. The only reason it got 4 instead of 5 stars is that the tightening lever won't swing all the way around (360 degrees) while attached to the rifle. I just adjusted the lever to where it was somewhat tight already then when I needed it tighter I could adjust up to 180 degrees. For me this was a minor inconvenience. It is more inconvenient not having something like this on your rifle and having to torque down with a tool. Time will tell how long it will last, but it has been good for two ruff and tumble carbine courses so far.

Made in USA.✅ The only bipod lock endorsed by Harris for their s-series bipods (you can also purchase this MIM lever from the Harris website itself). ✅ Perfect fit, finish and usability ✅ Lifetime warranty ✅

Does the job!
A definite must for Harris bipods. Great bipods with crappy adjustment system. This should be on every one of their bipods.
