Very smooth with water drops beading up on it. I used the stuff I purchased from the company and even called and spoke to them. I used it a few times and used a damp cloth to wipe it up, and to my dismay the grain raised a lot. On both sides after multiple treatments and days of effort. My husband took it to his workroom and sanded it many times with different grits and it is smooth as silk. Back to treating it, this time another seven or eight coats. Looking great again. Use it once or twice and back to raised grain. It is a nice size. Do not immerse in sink, do not have a dishwasher to even think about putting it into. Have done everything correct. No immersion, no stupid dishwasher tricks. Just a damp wipe down. For the price my eight dollar bamboo one is better. Wish it would work. Researched so much and paid a lot especially with the treatments, but frankly disappointed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Cutting Board *by C***C on Reviewed in the United States on October 12, 2019* Ordered mine a while ago, still looks great. Generally I clean it with a simple wipe-down. Except when handling raw protein, then it goes right into the dish washer.
