"C" batteries are 1.5 volts each, but they have absolutely NOTHING to do with these Dremel batteries. I believe the statement you refer to about the 6 C battery requirement is a mistake. **Q: Will this battery fit. Dremel 754.** A: Sorry, but I don't know. I am using it in my Dremel 770 Type 1, BUT in order to use them I had to grind approximately 1/4" from the bottom (or the back side) of the Dremel in order for the battery contacts to reach the contacts inside the Dremel's battery receptacle. Now they work fine in this particular Dremel.
