How to Love Yourself

I have been reading this book over the course of several months; with life being busy one can’t help to want to read Teal Swan’s books as she explains and expresses her transparency, as well as thoughts about what it means to love yourself. I have also been going to therapy for about a year now and adding Teal’s book(s) to my collection of books and using what she writes about actively in my everyday life really helped me to become more of who I was meant to be and her words inspire me to collaborate with my inner child when he feels upset/unsettled by other’s behaviors. However, the biggest take away for me was finding exactly where my problem areas were and Teal helped me to see them and guided me into a direction of self-love, and the ability to help others on their healing journey as well. Your book is like an entire literary of advice and tips- however, this book was powerful and written in a way I could understand it. Thank you! I will be reading your other books as well,- a fellow empathic soul 😊

This is an excellent book! Teal Swan's life is nothing short of shocking and amazing. She's been through hell and only survived by crawling, clawing and fighting her way out through blood, sweat and tears.Now, in this book, she shares HOW she turned her life around and how we can, too. It's an amazing book that offers not only hope and inspiration but also practical techniques and practices anyone can put to use. On one level this book is a how to book on jump starting making REAL changes to our lives. On another level, it's Teal's story told with brutal honesty. It's that brutal honesty that allows her to be totally up front with actually WORKS in changing one's life around as opposed to just offering theory and conjecture.

There are practical exercises to do and methodology to get at the heart of what may be in the way of self love with practical steps to see it and how to go through it to get to see oneself honestly and with eyes of understanding and love. Teal Swan 🦢 also has free content on YouTube.

I haven't read it all yet, but the first lesson helped immensely. Simple, but life changing. Second lesson had me crying my eyes out for at least 15min. I felt such a weight lifted from me. I'm ready to finally love myself as I deserve. Thank you miss Swan!

Teal writes in a way that’s real and raw, offering tangible, tactical advice you can implement right away. If you are wanting to ramp up your self love and learn of exercises you can even share with others, this is worth a read.

I hugged this book two times during my reading of it. Once for validation toward this amazing inspirational author and her spiritual journey, and pages later, once for learning new tenderness toward my own heart. This book is one of my favorites of all time, because it got me more in touch with my feelings. The writer's approach and method challenge some conventional thought, but its guidance is refreshingly innovative and compassionate. I recommend it to anyone who wants to open their heart like it did mine, and start to bring back more love to your own life and those around you. Happy reading!

Teal gives so many practical tools to come into a positive relationship with herself. Her example of her own life is incredible — reading it really helped me to feel confident in the content she offers. Highly recommend for anyone struggling with self hate.

The book is great, it has made a great impact on me, through the practical exercises teal presents I've been able to develop a deeper understanding of what loving myself means. It helped me develop new practical daily habits and also im learning to prioritize my happiness and well being on top my social duties and responsibilities. And her story is also very inspiring. Teal's teachings, knowledge, YouTube videos, workshops, books and any other interactions helped me get through the darkest parts of my life. Tiny baby step after tiny baby step I got better and better with her guidance.I had to learn how to love myself and how to care for myself. There was no other way just to learn that. And this book is an amazing tool to help me with that.It is still an ongoing project. But as I started to love myself, even just a little bit, it got mirrored back to me from everywhere around me. Which helped me heal more and love myself more, which helped me get better in life in general.Her message and tools are priceless. I listen to her videos on a weekly basis. She is a part of my everyday life with her books, posts, meditations.Forever grateful that I have found her when I did.

I've had a streak of reading four books in which I barely learned anything new about psychology. Pretty frustrating.Therefore, I was extra happy reading so many new insights about psychology (and self-love).Also, Tael has mastered the art of writing 10/10.I am having a hard time even putting the book down.I will definitely re-read this book over and over again.
