These sprays last a long time and the batteries seem to last forever at the lowest setting. It is a lottery however on the control arm on these sprayers. Some don't go down low enough to hit the spray head. A bit jarring at first when you're sleeping and it goes off. But you get used to it

I placed this product in my cellar to keep it fresh & works just fine.
