Making it waterproof I'm not sure but I would suggest using a hair dryer or heat gun to warm up the strip after placing it on the phone to get it warm then put the screen in place and press firmly while the strip is warm. I can't guarantee it will be waterproof by doing this but this will make sure it is stuck on better. **Q: Does this battery fit in original iphone 7 case (model A1660) or does it need/come with a larger case?** A: It will fit perfectly in the phone.. beware you will be installing it under the screen so be careful and take your time when getting to the inside where the battery sits.
