Works Great
I have this on my compressor the air comes out of the compressor pump, though the after-cooler , passes a dead drop tube, to the separator then into my tank. It has kept a lot of water out of my tank in conjunction with a Derale 15300 that I put on at the same time. I had no leaks at all and have moved this twice for better access . I moved it to the front so I dont have to reach down behind to empty it. I have a piece of clear tubing on the bottom nipple so the water doesn't spray all over when I empty it. The dead drop tube gets water too and drains by ball valve as you can see the red handle in the picture. At the end point of my shop airlines I have a desiccant dryer and a particle filter, after adding this set up my desiccant stays dry so long I cant remember how long its been since I changed it. Just for reference the Dearle cooler has 8an ends on it. I have an AN flaring tool so I made the new copper lines using JIC fittings. I used JIC as they are cheaper and easier to get for me. JIC and AN have the same flare angle. The AN stands for Army Navy and therefore have different requirements than normal industrial fittings. 1/2 copper water pipe (The heavier wall) is the size needed for #10 AN, or JIC fittings. Thats what I used on the lines you see in my pictures coming from the cooler, going through the water filter, then to the check valve on my tank.

Good quality, very durable
Very good quality, drain on the bottom seems to be durable as well. Nice feature with the push to drain!

A solid solution for getting compressor air clean and dry
I finally broke down and purchased a full set of the dryer and particulate filters. I have a major moisture problem with my compressor thats nearly 30 years old now, but is still kicking. These were an instant resolve to my problem. I had a sealing issue with one of the dissicant dryer units, but sorted that out with using yellow gas line Teflon tape that is much thicker than regular plumbers tape. Otherwise these seem to work very well, and hold the pressure at 150 psi without issue. My upcoming projects will test them out from a steady use perspective, but the moisture in the air from the compressor is now totally clean and dry, and my air tools are Grateful! I would recommend these for the weekend warrior DIY use. The pro grade level hardware is for what it is, but these are great for the price.

works fine and doesn't leak
I have this plumbed between my compressor and reserve tank mostly to collect water. It work fine and doesn't leak at the fittings not at the drain on the bottom.

Super heavy duty, great build quality
Bought this as a first stage filter element coming out of our compressor. I was skeptical of what I was going to get given the fact that there is no brand tied to it, but I was pleasantly surprised. Super heavy solid aluminum (?). Its a half-turn seal so you can place the sight glass on either side, which is a feature that not many of these have. I have a name brand .01 micron filter mounted elsewhere and because of the nature of the piping and filter location, you can't see the sight glass at all. This filter eliminates that issue. Dual o-ring type seal. Solidly built unit. Mounting bracket is robust and screws into the upper housing using machine screws. I am considering taking off the manual drain valve and piping it to a timed solenoid drain valve so that it automatically drains despite being pressurized 24/7. I wish I bought the auto drain!

great product for aircompressor after cooler setup
i recently purchased a 60 gal stationary air compressor for my shop and setup a compressor (between compressor outlet and tank inlet) using this product and it worked like a charm. very easy to connect and very well made. using appropriate connection methods of ptfe paste, correct brass fittings (3/4” in my case) there has been absolutely no leakage and almost no water making it through to input of tank

Very good quality
I have used Sharpe water separators for years in my auto body shop but the cost for them has gotten astronomic so trying these as a less expensive alternative. They are used prior to the dessicant dryers to extend the latter's service interval. So far I am very impressed as they remove water very well and are easy to service. Time will tell for certain but from what I see so far, they are a welcome addition and 1/4 the price of the Sharpe 606 series I was using.
