Review: Worth more as scrap metal - As many of the other reviews have stated, this magnet has very little magnetic force. It does not have the strength to hold its own weight. This product is so bad its not suitable even as a novelty and desertcart should discontinue its sale. Its only use I have found is a paper weight or something I leave at the bottom of my toolbox to gather small metal fragments and fasteners. If you need REAL magnets try Apex magnets. Do NOT buy this product.

This is a fairly strong, chunky Alnico bar magnet with north and south pole markings cast into their respective ends. The bar is bare metal with a machined finish. Great shape and size for playing with or doing basic physics experiments. Worth the money.
