Braga Organic Farms Organic Dried Cranberries 2 lb. bag

Love these cranberries. Have tried other 'brands' but these have less oil coating them and taste better (not as much sugar or something) either that or they are kept refrigerated or maybe cooler? Anyway, the oil does not have a bitter rancid smell or taste like most other 'brands' do. I use them in practically everything I cook & great in salads - they add just enough sweet and tart to balance my original gastronomic creations :) Try them in cranberry orange nut bread! you don't need as much sugar if you use these Organic crans. I recommend storing them in the freezer and once the bag is open that you keep them in the fridge so as to prevent the oil from going off. Got tired of the dried crans at the supermarket because they smelled and tasted rancid after sitting in warm storage here and there. Many thanks to the good people at Braga Organic Farms for shipping these out fast so they arrive in just a few days. AND - I sure appreciate the fact that they chose to help feed the world this way!

These have a very fresh, light but flavorful taste - I didn't experience them as oily as one user reported. I use them for snacks, salads and in making trail mix that's much better than you can buy - and that has special ingredients that I can eat in my 'low fodmap' diet. I don't usually make a big deal out of eating organic, but if you read about what they need to do to raise cranberries, you'll see why they usually use a heavy amount of toxic sprays, and why raising them organically is difficult. It justifies the price, and the flavor is wonderful.

I've been ordering these for a few years now, and the quality has been consistently good. They're not overly sweet or oily, as some brands are, and the flavor of the cranberries really comes out. Best of all, organic. I use them in baking and in different types of salads, and am so happy to have quality cranberries year-round.

First of all I did not find my batch to be oily or over sweetened and I liked their resealable bag. I thought the cranberries tasted fresh, moist, and appropriately flavorful. So far I've used them in chicken salad, muffins, and as a blue cheese salad topping. I will definitely re-order and have told my friends they should give up Craisins and go organic with this wonderful product!

I love these berries. I had purchased the Ocean Spray brand in the past and never knew the difference until I purchased these. The cranberries are large and plump and moist, even after opening the bag several times. They don't clump together as easily either. They taste naturally tart without any residual mysterious after taste that I had gotten used to with the OS brand. What a wonderful product. You won't be disappointed!

I bought these because they are just pure cranberries - no sugar or oil. They are very mild, not tart like cranberries usually are; they worked great for my breakfast bars.

The cranberries are good, but as a diabetic, they are really bad for me! I had to stop eating them as a snack, because my blood sugar went sky high. Wish they would offer without sugar added!

The difference between this and Ocean Spray Craisens are amazing. These have just the right amount of sweetness that does not overpower the tart tang of cranberries. I guess they are not as sweet compared to Craisens due to the fact that Craisens use High Fructose Corn Syrup, which is much sweeter than granulated sugar. As expected from being organic, there is no aftertaste either. These are definitely worth a try.
