Better Than Expected — Great Performance and Early Delivery!
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this product in terms of performance feel, as this was my first adventure into trying this particular model of string - but I definitely had high expectations going into the purchase just based off of the world-renowned, clean and loose Ernie Ball sound. In use, the product performs even better than i could have imagined. The strings are durable and personally, I feel that they're quite easy on the hands and fingers - they have a nice "stretch", or slinky, quality to them that just makes the experience exceedingly pleasant - even if you haven't built up your callouses yet. Aside from that, it also arrived a day early - so no complaints there! More than fair price, great service, and a legendary product - Will do business with again!

For Once, Fat is Good
I've played guitar for 5 years, mainly electric guitar with heavier strings. I've tried many different brands to find the right ones, but Not Even Slinky strings are the best, by far. Thickness: You really can't beat these strings in this area... These are the thickest strings I've ever played and would ever want to play on an average electric guitar: .12-.56 is the HEAVIEST safe enough to put on a non-baritone. With sizes above Not Even Slinky strings, you'll run into damaging problems. That being said, these pack a punch. All the strings are mighty, yet humanly playable. The biggest string is fat, in the best of ways. You can comfortably play heavy riffs without feeling like a bassist, nor a child with very floppy downtuned strings. Depending on one's preference, one can tune down to about drop Bb (B-flat) before becoming too loose. Below that is still playable, just requiring less roughness. Above that is prime. Duration: If one has clean hands before playing and often cleans the strings, Not Even Slinky strings will sound great for about a good 1-2 months, I believe. After that they still sound OK, especially with distortion, but lose the edge off their tone. This is to be expected with any type of strings. I've kept sets of Not Even Slinky strings on with almost daily playing for over 6 months and they still sounded alright, just not amazing after that long. The time between that "brand new" sound and "These have lost their shine" sound is long enough! Overall tone: I am biased in believing most guitar strings sound about the same. However, I suppose there's simply a "shine" to Not Even Slinky strings. As soon as you put them on, it is incredibly like playing an acoustic guitar, only on an electric!--There's just something different, an experience that is something else. Clearly... Not Even Slinky strings loudly resonate tightness, brightness, and rightness.

Nice strings when you need to step up a couple gauges.
Nice strings. I got these for a 19' scale guitar, Epiphone Pee Wee LP. To get the same tension as 10's on a 24.75 neck so that it would play right, I needed to move to 12's. This set has a larger bottom end that gets me there. Nice sound. Just like my 10's on other guitars. Clean and crisp.

Ernie Ball with the Ball
What else can I say? Not only are these some of the very best strings, but the value is incredible. The packaging is great (sealed nicely) and the strings are made well. They are a good length, they're labeled for easy and fast installation and they allow my guitar to produce nice and true tones. They feel good to play, too. I also love EB's wide variety of packs, with custom-like gauges. You can find just about any range to suit your tastes. I have guitars strung with a variety of gauges and many are EBs. Just buy these. You can't go wrong.

Great strings minus the G string
These are great for down tuning with one problem though.. The G string sounds horrible. It doesn't ring out well and creates a warble effect. I replaced it with a wound .22 string and it completely got rid of the problem. Do yourself a favor and buy yourself an extra wound string or just find a string set with one already , it makes a massive difference. I got the 12-56 "not even slinky" set to use on my Schecter Hellraiser Extreme guitar down tuned to C standard. I play a lot of leads as well, I normally prefer lighter plain strings but I can manage. Next time I may try something little lighter. Overall good set . But may not purchase again due to the bad G string.

Heavy Duty Strings
These are some heavy-duty guitar strings. I use them on my Gibson SG and tune down to B with them. Great for playing Doom and Stoner Rock, they hold their tension and tune in these low tunings.

Swarthy in all the best ways!
These are great strings. Heavy, chonky, and sounds great drop-tuned. TL;DR - new strings = setup Word of advice - If you’re planning to use these and usually string 46-9, and tune to E standard, double check your setup. Nut slot depth (you can always take it out, but you can’t add more once cut!), neck relief, and tremolo float. I went from 9s to these and had to adjust the truss, trem, and bridge saddles. Nicknamed my donor guitar ‘the screaming banana’ due to extent of neck bend. Easy adjustments, just keep an eye out for it before writing off these strings.

BE CAREFUL WITH CHOOSING THICK GAUGE STRINGS
Good things: these are amazing quality, absolute steal. New strings sound amazing as always Bad/important things: do your research - do thicker gauge strings work with your guitar? Mine has a tremolo bridge with 3 springs, and tuned to E standard, the bridge is floating when it should be flush. Also you will have to file your nut - are you sure you want to do this, especially if you only have one guitar like me? Just a warning, especially for "heavier gauge strings for heavier songs", which might not be true, perhaps some 10s would suffice. Might use these strings as a light set for when I get a 7 string guitar...
