Erythritol has a cooling effect when dissolving and when used in chocolate has a waxy texture. So maybe monkfruit or some other non-laxative blend... Hershey’s tried erythritol for chocolates in the late 90s? Or early this century. But it failed in the marketplace. Though it’s great where already dissolved like ice cream. **Q: If a person can not have sugar can they have sugar alcohols?** A: I cannot have sugar and I eat the sugar free Hershey s .I am diabetic Yes I believe you can enjoy the chocolate. **Q: what does mildly sweet mean?** A: I wouldn't call it sweet. It has a distinct dark cocoa taste. I do not like milk chocolate because it's too smooth tasting. **Q: So I would get 12 bags of 3oz each?** A: Not a troll. I ordered this and received one 3 ounce bag for $27.99. Even though the photo shows 12 bags and the per ounce price of 0.78 would lead you to believe that there are more bags.
