The quality of the construction is not equal to the price point, and the variation in the steps has made it very difficult for my small dogs (9, 8 and 7), who will not use it. The gripper material is very hard and they don't like that either. I purchased a returned item, and there were a few knicks in it, and the box in which it was delivered was a mess, but I thought we would give it a try. Unfortunately within a couple of weeks, a corner on the bottom step came off and a small nail was exposed.
