This is not a true "bluetooth mouse" as advertised. maybe i missed something in fine print, but mouse does require the usb receiver to be plugged in?

Yes it requires a USB receiver plugged into your computer i love mine I don't mess up as much with my fingers scrolling

I don't understand why not because it's just an USB and mouse. Then again, I do not own the newest MacBook air. I just use it on an older iMac and it works fine.

It charges using n g a USB cord that comes with it. I plug mine into my laptop. It doesn't take long to fully charge.
