It will work fine for Master System and Master System card games. You can even plug in a Master System controller (with a genesis, not the retron 5). The only issue is that there is no pause button on the device itself. This doesn't matter with the retron since it handles assigning pause to the start button on the controller. This sucker takes some work to get it to sit properly in the retron5.
