Craftsman 41B822 Compatible Replacement Battery by UPSBatteryCenter®

This was a great, cheaper alternative to a replacement Craftsman battery that we needed for our garage door opener. I looked in the manual for the battery number and matched it up on Amazon. It was a perfect fit and it works great.

This was exactly as described and slipped into the battery slot in the Craftsman Opener easily and perfectly. For anyone who is comfortable using a step-ladder, this is an easy replacement. Stand with your back to the door for a moment. The Craftsman battery will be on your left side of the motor housing. The battery cover is secured by one philips head screw. Don't worry about confusion with wiring. The new battery has color coded positive/negative terminals protected by slip on plastic covers. (these are discarded) The red/black terminals will match the red/black wiring which have slip-on type terminals. The whole job will take five minutes, counting the time to drag the ladder over to the job. By the way, if the periodic chirp is annoying while you wait for your new battery, get the step ladder over to the opener motor cover and disconnect the black wire. That will stop it. If you are not confident with this kind of work, leave the battery in place after disconnecting one terminal until the new one arrives. It will eliminate the question of orientation in your mind. One last detail. Mine was ordered through Amazon. It arrived faster than estimated by several days, even though it was "free shipping". The price was far better than a new Diehard from Sears too.

After nearly 10 years to the month, the DieHard battery in my Craftsman Garage Door Opener would no longer take a charge. This replacement was shipped and delivered promptly UPS Battery. It installed easily into the unit. Upon installation, my control pad showed the battery was about 50% charged. It took about 20 hours to charge to full capacity. I'd give it 5 stars, but 1) I haven't really put it to use yet, and 2) I've been spoiled by the longevity and reliability of the battery it replaced. UPS Battery gets 5 stars for prompt shipping & delivery.

The battery met expectations in that it fit the installation space for my Sears garage door opener. However, since there have been no power failures since its installation, I can only assume it will charge and provide the necessary backup power to operate the door. I have no other reason to believe that it will not. I would order this battery again.

I have two garage openers. Two months ago, one of the batteries started emitting annoying sound. I went to Sears and they recommend battery replacement. I purchased the battery but was not happy with the Sears experience and expensive pricing. When second battery started beeping, Iw went right on Amazon. This is an excellent and well priced replacement for my Craftsman home garage battery. It was shipped through USPS - but it fitted my mailbox though the tracking info showed FedEx. When I emailed the seller, response was supper fast and he told me to check my mail box. Packaging is very solid and secure. I couldn't say except to recommend it. It took me less than 10 min to prop ladder, remove older battery and replace it with this new one. Don't think about it, just buy it.

Received the battery as promised. Easy exchange. Battery was swapped out under 5 minutes. Listing provided information as needed. Hope this battery last as long as the original did, original battery date was 10/8/2014, almost 5 years on the battery. Great product. No complaints here.
