The instructions are very clear not to go over 2-3 apples w/the clock. The led is not bright enough w/one apple. I used FOUR ****Just like the little picture showed***! My son and I got a kick out of it. Motors did not work but likely b/c not enough voltage. I am guessing the motor was a 3V motor, not sure , it was not labeled (but 5V would seem like a bad idea anyway). Anyway, 45 minutes of fun at least on the first night. But the noise maker and the clock both worked! Maybe the fan didn't work bc it required more voltage, and if so it would've been nice if they included a lower powered fan. That would've been fun for my boy to watch. It was a great experiment though! Easy to assemble and use.
