Happy Frog
Happy Frog is the best potting soil. My flowers have more blooms, brighter, the leaves are darker green.

NO FUNGUS GNATS!!!
This is pricey, but great soil. I'm never going back to that cheaper brand that takes a "miracle" to get rid of the fungus gnats once you open the bag. I'm getting great results starting seedlings in old yogurt cups and a 50/50 mix of Happy Frog and coconut coir and then planting them in full strength Happy Frog.

Some of the best commercial potting soil available!
No matter what plants you are growing, Happy Frog by FoxFarm potting soil is some of the best you can buy. The only thing better would be ProSoil Mix which is expensive and can be finicky if you buy it from the wrong vendor. I use a seed starter mix or jiffy pods for all my seeds, no matter what I am growing. Once roots start to show, into Happy Frog they go! The great thing about Jiffy Pods is that you are not disturbing the roots like you would in a tray of dirt. Less transplant shock and once roots push out the side, you know its time to transplant into Happy Frog! Within 7 days you will see a transformation in color, width and height. You can get similar results with a good feeding system and poor dirt/plain coco coir, but why do that when Happy Frog gives you everything it needs for the first month? Ive used dozens and only 2-3 others can compare to quality and being bug free. Ive never had a gnat problem using Happy Frog. Thats worth the purchase price right there!

Fox Farms 4ever
Update: now I've made my third purchase. Rich soil, great balanced mix, and NO GNATS. Love it! Original review: This is my second purchase of this soil, and I'm only buying this brand from now on. The first time I bought this I loved it but thought it was a bit spendy, so this spring I used a cheaper potting soil from a well-known brand that rhymes with "spherical throw" to repot some of my houseplants and I ended up with a gnat infestation. So when I bought Fox Farms this time I was a little scared to open it and risk reintroducing gnats to my house, but I worried for nothing. This soil is clean and rich, how indoor potting soil should be. The only living things in it are beneficial bacteria and microbes, thank goodness! For general purpose I mix at a 3:1 ratio with perlite and sometimes add a little gritty cactus soil for plants that need good aeration. My plants love it and thrive.

Superb soil
The ONLY reason this soil does not get 5 stars is simply because their Ocean Forest line is in fact a bit better for MOST plants. However, if you wish to amend the soil, or are worried about higher levels of fertilizer for plants that don't need much, then this is the one you want. It does not need to be amended, but you really do NOT want to add anything to the Ocean Forest. That being said, if you're unsure which one is best for you, go with this one. That being said, you really want to use dechlorinated water with it.

Amazing growth and lush green color!
I was a little skeptical that this potting mix was really worth the price. So I did a little experiment, and potted up some of my seedlings into these 4 inch containers with Happy Frog and some with Miracle Gro moisture control potting mix. See photos- The Happy Frog plants are SO much larger, greener, and more lush! I just potted them up again into 1 gallon containers, and was in awe at how strong the root structure appears compared to the Miracle Gro plants. I can't wait to get these babies into the garden! I'm totally sold on this product and recommend it highly.

Perfect starter soil!
I've been growing indoor, since it was legalized here in Mi. With this soil, all I have to do is add tap water(ph of around 7.0). This soil is pretty low in ph. I tested 5.6, and 5.8 out of 2 different bags, with my tap water coming in around 7.0. I use nothing but tap water for at least the first 4-5 waterings. This brings the ph back into a usable range. The soil has plenty in it to start your girls off right though. Ph is my only complaint.

OMG best dirt
I inherited a few plants from my grandmother a year and a half ago and recently noticed my hibiscus not doing well. I previously attempted to use the dirt she gave me with it but nothing seemed to help. I recently purchased this and repotted my hibiscus. Even in the midst of AZ heat its sprouting new buds and growth everywhere! Will absolutely purchase this for my new plant babies, very happy that I can continue keeping my plants happy with this dirt!

Great product buys but pricey
This product is great to grow herb. I don't love the price point. But I've been growing for over 12 years and never have to worry about ph levels or having to add extra nutrients for seeding or cloning herb plants
