Rite in the Rain Weatherproof Mechanical Pencil, Olive Drab Barrel, 1.3mm Black Lead (No. OD13)

My new favorite lead pencil because it doesn’t break and easily writes on damp paper. I use these all the time. Writes smoothly. I’m an avid Sudoku player and these are perfect for not ripping the pages or breaking. This is value for the money.

I'm a remodeling contractor and am always marking pencil lines, writing notes, etc. I've tried many mechanical pencils that were too thick, too thin, too brittle, not tough enough, etc. These are a good compromise at 1.3 mm. The lead will break, but not as easily as .7 mm leads. It does make a fairly wide mark, but it's tough enough to sharpen to a fine point when necessary. I origionally bought the yellow model at my local Lowe's and liked it so much I ordered different colored ones from Amazon. I think they'll hold up to my daily abuse...

I gifted this to my daughter who does pen / pencil portraiture. Although on the heavy side (all metal body), she loves it for the knurled grip and the smooth dark lead. She's already ordered extra lead refills so she can use it without interruption.The price was excellent for the heavy-duty quality.

These are my favorite pencils for everyday use. I use 1.3mm lead at work and started using it for note taking. I didn't like the soft leads at first but quickly got used to it. If you don't like the softer grade then get your self some hb refills. Only downside is you can only have one lead in at a time.

I use this pencil for everything. Inside, outside, in any weather. Good solid "lead" that holds up on any surface. I wish I would have had this when I was in the Marines as it is Marine Tough!

I was actually hoping it could have been a lighter metal or the same super plastic in the rite in the rain pen I have. The only downfall is mixing heavy metal with plastic which creates a potential weak snapping point where the metal and plastic meet. All metal stainless steel Construction would have been nice. I have a zebra all metal pen

Love their products and have several. But "Rite in the Rain" sounds like the title of a book on neo-pagan fertility rituals. They should have just stuck with "Write".

Schöner Bleistift, mit recht dicker Miene.Der Stift ist relativ schwer und im Griffbereich recht dick,muß man mögen,ist für mich aber ok.

I was off put by the price, but got it because of the large diameter lead it uses. It is aluminum and very rugged not quite as thick as a tactical pen, but much thicker than you expect. I carry this at work and it takes a beating in stride. I'll be getting more of them for sure.
