I have a very tall/wide doorframe (7.5” from outer to inner edge). Can this bar rest on the top *and* pass under the bottom of my wide doorframe?

The fifth photo for the product clearly shows the max and minimum measurements. If your trim is more than 3.5' wide, then this product will not work.

does it adjust to door size?

See the specifications--the fifth photo in the Amazon information. It does not adjust--it is not adjustable. Instead, it fits a particular range of door widths and molding heights. If your door falls within those ranges, then it will fit.

What exercises can i do with the suspension straps or what are they used for ? I am srry for what is probably a dumb question but i am a beginner

Lying rows. Lie back, with your knees slighly bent, but allowing your body to fall to parallel, this will extend your arms. Once your arms are extended, and your body is straight, then pull your chest upward, towards your hands, squeezing your back muscles tight as you pull upward. Then repeat.
