If only every band dropped an album this good after A 5 year hiatus
This album is amazing! Don't start listening to this though expecting the rebellious youth anthems that Dude Ranch or Enema of The State gave us. Neighbourhoods is a lot more like Blink-182s self titled album dealing with slightly darker and more mature topics. Now I'm going to say I am a little Bias towards Blink because I am a long time fan and think everything they touch turns to gold. But when this album came out I was very hesitant to give it a chance due to the hiatus the band had been on and the reported bad terms the band ended on. But I couldn't have been more wrong. They have delivered another instant classic with Neighbourhoods. The content may have grown up but they still give you the catchy pop-punk tunes that have given them the legacy they have made today. I give the album 4 stars only because there is a couple to tracks that are still worth listening to multiple times but on repeated listenings you might skip them to get to the albums other gems. What gives it the 5 star rating i have given it is the Vinyl its self. The vinyl is amazing and easily one of the best in my collection the gate fold folds out showing all three band members faces a very beautiful glossy album giving you that tangible feeling that reminds you why vinyl still wins. The 180gm record is very cleanly pressed and sounds amazing but to seal the deal with this album and to put it up into my top vinyls is the white pressing of the vinyl which suites the theme of the albums artwork and looks amazing. Any fan of Blink-182s self titled album is gonna find a new love in this album.

Blink 182! Back with a bang
This really is one of their best albums in my honest opinion, they really have changed, and i personally think its for the better. You can't compare this album to any of their previous albums, its very different, much more mature, but very good. They have mixed in a few punk-style songs and a few with an AvA style to them, but i really think Mark, Tom, and Travis really are 5 times better when they're together, everything falls right into place. I really recommend this album. If you have listened to blink in the past and thought they were too "childish" you really need to try them again, buy this album!! full 5/5

By far one of the best Blink 182 albums
By far one of the best Blink 182 albums. It was a very mature rock album and I love it. people hate on album because of the lack of the punk sound the gave blink their fame, which is understandable. I was skeptical of the album at first but, when I gave it a long listen it grew on me. it deals with more serious topics like death (ghost on the dance floor). which I understand can be hard for people to swallow. I love it and thats all that matters

Feeling This
Re-emerging after nearly a decade-long absence, Blink-182's highly-anticipated 2011 reunion album, "Neighborhoods," unsurprisingly finds the band embracing their age and continuing on the path that 2003's self-titled affair blazed. With hooks still intact, the power-punk-pop trio has all but abandoned the sillier subject matter of days gone by in exchange for more mature themes and, as a consequence, more refined compositions. Having more in common with the likes of '80s-era The Cure than '90s-era Green Day, "Neighborhoods" is almost guaranteed to be the band's most polarizing, and in turn, most interesting affair to date. The album opens with the superb "Ghost on the Dance Floor," appropriately steeped in atmospheric flourishes and melancholic lyrics by guitarist/vocalist Tom DeLonge that set the stage for the rest of the album. Whether it's through the post-hardcore of "Hearts All Gone" or the instant hit "Natives," which serves to give the band's signature sound a much needed overhaul, the band are in top form and don't sound as if they've missed a beat since 2003. Bassist/co-vocalist Mark Hoppus bounces off DeLonge even better than before, while drummer Travis Barker -- a stand-out talent in his own right -- serves the songs perfectly, giving them the ample space they need to breathe. There's enough spread amongst the brief ten song set (fourteen if you take the "Deluxe Edition" into consideration) to keep things interesting, yet it can't help but feel like the band could have taken things a step farther. If there's one flaw to the album, it's that it sounds incomplete in comparison to its 2003 counterpart. That aside, the album still offers enough surprises and enough catchy tunes to engage long-time fans as well as those with only a surface interest in the band's earlier material. Acknowledging that the glory days of the Warped Tour and TRL are long gone, Blink-182 have forged a unique sound all their own that pays tribute to their past and hints at the future. These aren't the same snot-nosed brats who created the likes of "Dude Ranch" or "Enema of the State," and that's a breath of fresh air. With its members all pushing 40, growing up and expanding on their sound is all but inevitable in order to survive. If you fell in love with Blink-182 at the rock show or can't remember your age, you might feel some growing pains. Rest assured though that Blink-182 are aging well with a future that looks brighter than ever. To echo a lyric that has become a cliché, I guess this is growing up.

Great Album Great Songs
The wait was well worth it, since 8 years ago to I hear new material from this excellent band one of my favorites. i was sixteen years when i was listening the latest album, twenty-four years now I have and i can see how much they have changed, their songs, but creativity is still apparent in each of the members of the band, Mark, Tom and Travis ... Excellent musicians. Thank you very much for this great album, I've been hearing about 7 times since i got it and I am not tired to listening.... I leave my favorite songs: After Midnight Snake Charmer Heart's All Gone (interlude) Heart's All Gone Wishing Well Kaleidoscope Love is Dangerous Greetings from Ecuador

Der Song scheint etwas zurückhaltend, was ihn jedoch ausmacht. 'After Midnight' & 'Even If She Falls' lassen Emotionen frei, die einfach direkt ins Herz gehen. Was will man mehr?!
