The Talent Code: Greatness isn't born. It's grown : Coyle, Daniel: desertcart.in: Books Review: Enjoyable read with many interesting anecdotes. Highly recommended. - Excellent book. The core content of the book is a very restricted subject though, and so the author does a fabulous job of providing anecdotes, scientific research, and plenty of analysis. This ensures that the book is almost the perfect size for its content matter. It's an enjoyable read, and if you pay enough attention, you might gain a few useful insights on how to make your own life better! Highly recommended. Review: This is one amazing book! - The author has magnificently selected wonderful stories and events to stress on the importance of "smart work". He has thrown some light to wake up those who believe in the notion of god gift primarily and lack the intensity to put their own efforts. An eye opener for a lot of people, with some really exciting and motivating stories.

Must read once in a life.
The Talent Code is What makes talent? Is born or made? The theory behind this book is that talent is made. The way this is done is by "deep practice". Deep practice isn't just about practicing something over and over again--it is about practicing in a certain system of doing, messing up, and doing over again until you get it right. What I love about this theory is that to be talented you must fail and learn from the failure. It explains why we see bursts of talented people, Russian tennis players, Brazilian football players, Italian artists, and others. It is based on a simple but powerful idea once you truly understand it.

Average read...
Topics can be covered in half the size of the book. I personally find it disconnected between the topics.

Really good information if correct
This book follows in line with similar book of this genre, I really like author’s other book “little book of talent” although this is also good but the other one is more compressed with similar information.

Although ideas like in Malcolm Gladwells' works (that teach us that 10,000 hours, identity and mentorship are more important than talent) are not totally new, this book is very inspiring through the real life examples and different angles it provides.
