Mann-Filter CUK 6724 Cabin Filter With Activated Charcoal for select BMW models

Great cabin filter, perfect fit.

I got my car (2000 323i) used and was not sure if the air cabin filter had ever been changed - it certainly did not smell like it. After removing* the old one I could see why the air smelled so moldy! This Mann filter fits PERFECTLY and in a few minutes everything was smelling cleaner. Huge and very pleasant difference - seems the activated charcoal really does work. For the money, this can't be beat. * Note - this is about as easy a car job as there is. Opening a can of tuna is probably harder, really. There are a few good Youtube vids on how to change this on an E46 if you're not sure. No tools required as it involves just twisting open three clips that hold the top cover in place. Everything is easily accessible and it takes about 2 minutes to do. Just keep an eye out for which way you place the filter and that's it. I can only imagine how much money they might charge for doing this at a mechanic shop/dealer. And it really takes no more than 2-3 minutes to do.

What can I say about this filter? It was very simple to change and fit perfectly. On my 2005 325ci, it is located at the very rear of the engine compartment just in front of the lower edge of the windshield. There are a couple of twist connectors that you turn to remove the cover. When you remove the old filter, take note of the orientation of the curve. Yes, this filter is not a rectangle, but slightly curved to fit the windshield profile. Since I used to have my car services by certified BMW service centers, this filter was changed at every service whether it needed it or not. The air is not that dusty where I live, so the old filter still looked new. I didn't notice any difference in cabin airflow, but perhaps since this is activated charcoal, it's doing more than just filtering dust. Since it's providing the air you breath inside of the cabin, and it's not an expensive filter, perhaps its worth changing even if it doesn't look dirty!

This fit my car and was very easy to install. 2002 BMW 325ci. Quality seemed ok and it was similar to the OEM one I removed. Plastic frame was slightly warped, but seated fine. I would purchase this again!

Trust me! Make this your go to brand! Whenever I purchase replacement parts for my car, I always make sure they are from the same country of origin as the car and original equipment. After trying other brands and being disappointed in their quality (specifically country of origin). I happened across Mann - Filter and decided to give them a shot. I was super excited and relieved when upon its arrival the packaging stated that it was indeed made in Germany!! Thank you, Mann-filter for maintaining the production of quality parts.

Delivery was weird...it was sent by Amazon in cardboard taped together but not a box. It broke the filter housing but it was able to be saved. Installation was stupid simple, it came with directions & pictures. Highly recommend Mann...this filter was an EXACT same as the OEM BMW filter...they use Mann manufacturing then emblazon BMW logo into the frame. I checked everything on it, the cast is IDENTICAL. Mann is the OEM filter maker for many European luxury cars. This filter was easy to install, works well, and was a perfect fit. Much more reasonably priced here then at the dealer. Mann is a quality company and this is a solid product. Replacing your old cabin filter an have a very pleasing upgrade in air quality that is greater then you would expect.

Exactly what you would expect - quality Mann filter that fits perfectly and does a good job. It's a cabin air filter, can't really say much more. Fit my 2006 e46 BMW M3 perfectly.
