Easy to replace and a perfect replacement part
Perfect fit for my 2008 Ranger!

good replacement
Bought this for a friend who needed to replace his handle to open his tailgate on his Ranger. Fit perfectly, opens the tailgate easily, looks good and all the hardware was there to install in minutes. Cheap fix, you could consider buying a metal one for a few bucks more but this plastic one works just fine for a third truck that does not get used every day.

Exactly like the original. Way to install.
My old broke one day. Thank goodness my top was t latched down. Ordered this handle. Looks exactly like the original one. Arrived quickly and installed very easily. Works great.

Looks and functions same as original
Actually, it looks better than the original because it is not sun faded. Installation is simple, there are videos on YouTube. I watched a 3 minute video on how to install that made the installation look very simple. Reality, it was simple to install. It took me less than 30 minutes to gather the tools and lubricant, install the handle, put the tools away, and wash my hands. Tools required, #27 torx bit, 10mm socket, lubricant. For the lubricant I used white lithium grease. You can install without lubricant but, the reason the handle broke in the first place was because the latch mechanism needed lubrication. Comparing the replacement tailgate handle to the original, they looked the same. From what I could tell, the replacement handle is identical to the original handle. I do have to qualify this statement, I am not the original owner of the truck. I received the truck from my father-in-law who had purchased the truck when it was 2 or 3 years old. Therefore, it is possible that the handle was replaced prior to my father-in-law purchasing the truck. Summary; easy to install, looks like original, low price (under $10), and a 12 month warranty.. You can't lose with this tailgate replacement handle.

Fit and worked as stated.
Proper fit for 2008 Ford Ranger XLT extra cab w/ 6' bed & 3.0 6cyl engine. Easy to install once you figure out access. You still need the internal piece that this screws to. I also bought more rod clamps (plastic clamps that clamp to the end threads of the rods that pull latch bolts on each side of the tailgate). The screwing and unscrewing get a little tricky and you might need a small hair band (Dollart Tree) to wrap around the spring loaded arms to keep them out of your way. Must do the work in daylight or very well lit garage. Decent quality especially for price. I STILL RECOMMEND that a quick "How-to" sheet (or website intructions) be included with each part to show how to access the internal area of the tailgate for all year models of "Ford Ranger" for which the part is made for.
