Great value.
This spice is NOT spicy but has an earthy warm taste. It is very mild and has (only) salt added to the Sumac. I use it mostly with cooking chicken but authentically, it is the spice used in falafels in the tomato, cucumber veggie mix. A new favorite in my kitchen.

Great flavour enhancement
I enjoy TV cooking shows, and in several recent episodes a spice called Ground Sumac was mentioned. I had not previously been aware of this spice, and I made a point of looking for it in my local grocery store . . . with no success. Amazon, of course, has it. I love that it comes in a generous size (not the tiny bottles that are empty before you know it), and the price was very reasonable and a good value. As for the product itself, the Sumac impressed me as rich, a little earthy, and having a definite note of citrus. I think it is delicious sprinkles lightly on plain, buttered toast, and I am looking forward to trying it in soups, stews, and salads. So glad to have found this product.
