What is the width inside the shelf (not from outside points, 31inches)?

All of the pieces are 1/2" thick and there are two end pieces. Since the overall width of the Extra Wide 2-shelf Storage Organizer is 31", then the inside width dimension is 30". This is a great product for shoes.

The color says espresso but shows white? I need a white one is it just mislabeled at checkout.

White is off white. Not bright white.

Can you remove center shelf? I need a hutch shelf that can accommodate items 11 inches tall.

I think if you removed the center shelf, it would destabilize the whole unit. Maybe if the top shelf didn't hold very heavy items, you could get away with it.
