If you need a chair....in my case....dining chairs, that won't compete with any other color in the room, then think about these. I have a beautiful wool rug in my dining room, but it has a pattern on it and every upholstered chair I brought in competed with the rug. I was seriously thinking about getting a new rug UNTIL I tried these. They don't compete with the rug or any of the other wood furniture (or color!) in the room. But they do add warmth and texture. Even though, I think they look classic, they actually add a modern touch to the room....which I was looking for. They look beautiful with my big old farm table. They give the Pottery Barn look without spending the Pottery Barn price! They seem sturdy enough for the price. And they have a built in cushion in the seat and are very comfortable! AND.....for all your TJ Maxx fans....these are the exact match to the ones you see in TJ's every now and then. I bought a few at TJ's (for $79!) and needed more. Took a chance that they were the same, and they are!
