We had such a great time with Cryptic Killers: Murder of a Millionaire Case File! My husband and I wanted something different for a date night, and this was perfect. We were able to solve the case in about 2.5 hours honestly, we kind of wished it lasted a bit longer, but I guess we made a pretty good team and figured things out quickly! It was such a nice way to disconnect from everyday stress and do something interactive instead of just watching TV. The whole experience felt immersive and engaging from start to finish. The value is amazing too—compared to going out to a restaurant, bar, or show, this is easily more affordable and just as entertaining. The materials are high quality, and the photos and documents feel realistic, which really adds to the experience. Everything was mostly easy to read, although a few of the handwritten-style pieces were a little tricky—but nothing that took away from the fun. Overall, it’s a creative, engaging activity and I’d definitely recommend it to couples or anyone looking for a fun night in!

This turned out to be an awesome date night activity. Instead of just watching a movie or scrolling on our phones, we got to actually work together and solve the case. The clues are really well done and make you feel like real detectives going through evidence. It’s a great mix of challenging but still fun, and it kept us engaged the whole time. Highly recommend if you want something different for a date night or even a small group hangout.

This was a great game. I liked the twists and turns and putting the evidence together, much like a puzzle. It was fun to play and easy to set up.

These mysteries have become a staple for our girls night get togethers! They are very well thought out and we love using our detective skills to figure out the email passwords (well, most of the time 😂) and trying to find the hidden clues. We've done a few different ones now and no two were alike. They really do take us a few hours to solve, and sometimes we even need to step away for the night and pick back up the next morning after our brains could rest. They have different levels of difficulty so you can decide how challenging you want it to be. We tend to write notes all over the documents, but you could easily keep everything and pass it along to another person/group to solve. We really feel they are worth the price and look forward to solving more in the future!

Great value for money considering a trip to the theatre, bar, or restaurant would be easily more than double the cost of this. The materials were very high quality, the pictures felt like actual photos and were of high quality. Most of it was very readable but some of the ones mimicking handwriting were a bit difficult to read. We caught on fairly quickly and it was easy to learn how to solve the case once we went through all of the materials.

Fun date night. Hubby said he would do another one with me! Could be a fun double date night. Took the 2 of us 2.5 hrs. All the evidence was included, and the web links worked as described. Pretty creative and very well thought through. Hunting for our next cryptic killer to solve!

Murder of a Millionaire My husband and I love detective stories so we planned a date night around the game. It was a blast — a few beers around a cheery fire while the snow was falling outside — definitely the highlight of the week! Some head-scratching clues though — a map with no key re distance, a train schedule we could not figure out, and a “crack the code” hint that made no sense at all to us. Overall a very well done game. We had our suspects narrowed down and then went thru the “hints” which confirmed our guess. We are hooked and ordering more — which hopefully will last us through the rest of our Lake Erie winter! Highly recommend!

Bought it on recommendation of a friend and we had great fun solving it. Its all very well put together and all the evidence is really high quality including the online elements. Can’t wait for the next one
