So handy!
I'd had my eye on this spout for quite awhile but didn't buy it because I'd read so many bad reviews. Finally it was on sale so I went for it. I'm sorry I waited so long. This thing is so handy! It's so nice to not have to dig out and dirty the whole big colander any time I need to pour the water out of anything. Yes, if you don't put it on quite right, it doesn't seal. But that's just user error. It's easy enough to adjust. I've used it on several different sized pots and it's worked great on them. Even my husband, who usually scoffs at my kitchen gadgets, admits that this is a good one and he uses it all the time as well.

Does NOT work at all!!! Do not buy this item!!!
I have never left a negative review for an item in my life, but because I feel this item is a complete waste of money and the customer service is terrible, I felt I needed to warn others not to be misled by this seemingly wonderful product idea like I was. I saw this spout on another website and went to Amazon to see if it was on sale there because I had high hopes for it. I used this spout shorting after receiving it in November, and was not happy with it at all. But I decided that maybe it was just the way I was using it or what I was using it for and I wanted to give it a real chance and use it some more for multiple things before I made a decision to return it. I have used it for straining grease from many pans of burger, sausage, and bacon...a use it is supposedly designed for. I have used it to strain other foods such as canned fruit. I have used it to pour batter into muffin tins...the main reason I decided to buy this item. It does not work AT ALL. The burger is too heavy and pushes the spout off the pan and/or falls out of the pan to the sides of the spout....I always have lost food to the sink because of this spout. The batter also pushes the spout off the container....it is too heavy and the spout does not have enough strength to stay attached to the container. It is a good concept.....but I am sorry to say it really does not work at all as described and is a very poorly designed product. I am someone who typically loves to give items a good review.....but after contacting the seller to ask if I could return the product after 60 days of giving it every chance I could to work, they refused to bend on their 30 day return policy by sending me a short and curt email in reply with no reference to the above problems that I described in detail to them. Then after telling them I was sorry to hear that and I was going to leave a negative review for their product, they offered me a whopping 15% refund on the product saying that per "Amazon policy" that is all they could do....which I know for a fact not to be true because I personally know a company who sells a product on Amazon. Customer service to me is essential to a company's success, and this company has a poor product and poor customer service. Very disappointing. Don't make the same mistake I did!

Waste of money
I bought this thinking it was such a neat idea, and I use a strainer pretty much every time I cook so it would save me some time and dirty dishes. It would be awesome if it actually worked! But when you put it on the pan to pour anything out, your food will go out with the oil/water because it's not big enough you to be able to tilt it the way you need to. So it ends up being useless because everything you want to strain out, stays in the pan. I tried it for a couple of different meals and it didn't work out. Maybe I'll just start using it for pouring cake batter and baking.

It is what it is.
I wouldn't say this is the product that revolutionized my life in the kitchen, but it is kinda cool. I would have given it 5 stars but it has slipped off the side of the pot a few times and dumped my noodles in the sink!!!

Very helpful, but not perfect.
I've only used it once, but this worked pretty well with draining spaghetti. I didn't have any leakage, but wasn't able to fully drain all the water off without spaghetti falling out on the sides. It did drain most of it with some juggling to hold back the spaghetti from the sides. It would be perfect if it covered up the sides and top in a semi-circle. But still, I'm glad I bought it as it works better than anything else I've used.

Simple and Easy to Use
The day after we received it we began using it. It is very simple and it does it's job. From the time we got it we have used it over 10 times, we cook often. So far we haven't had any problems. It stays in place with the clip and it is easy to put on (no burnt fingers yet). Of course there has been a few rogue pieces of veggies or pasta that slips out. I don't know about you, but even using a strainer I still have a couple pieces come out. For the price I think its a good deal and a great asset to my kitchen.

It didn't keep a seal at all well
Each year, as part of our pre-Passover cleaning and preparation, we "kasher" our granite countertops and steel sinks, a process which involves systematically pouring boiling water over every square inch of said counters and sinks. We've evolved a system where we boil the water in big pots and pour it after transferring to two smaller pots which we alternate. (I'm not going to bore you ad nauseam with the intricacies and the reasons for this system.) The only problem is that neither of said smaller pots has a spout, so the pouring was very imprecise. Rather than buy a new pot or saucier with a proper spout, we decided to try this. Big mistake. To begin with, we never felt confident about the seal, and it always seemed like there was water leaking around the edges. And then, after switching a few times between the two smaller pots we used for the actual pouring - and mind you, the pots were not the same size at all, i.e. 1 qt vs 2.5 qts - this thing got so bent out of shape that it basically couldn't seal at all, and the pouring was even more imprecise than it used to be when we didn't use this piece of plastic junk in the first place. A *total* waste of the money.

Loved it at first and now not so much.
This spout worked great at first but now it doesn't stay flush with the pan and liquid pours out the side of the pan and not the spout. I originally gave this 5 stars and now I've just thrown it away. I don't know if it was because of being put in the dishwasher but it just doesn't work like it did anymore.
