Review: Value for money - This is my 2nd set I have purchased so that I can charge the one while using the other. It has a fair amount of time of use. The brightness is pretty good, and the spread of light is very wide. This headlamp is not bulky at all. I use it when I repair vehicles at night or in low levels of light. When using the lamp and then turn it off, you simply press the button once, which I find handy. I have had the first lamp for about a year, and I have dropped it a few times, plus have had it mingled amongst my tools, with lamp still intact. The only flaw is the cute foam rubber surround to supposedly protect the accidental use of the button comes off from rough use, which is not a train smash, because the button is well made. This headlamp is worth it's price and more.

Caveats: A) It withstood really well normal dripping and occasional impacts, but it might not be suited for strenuous, very wet trips. The charging port is in an exposed position: the battery unit is generously wrapped in PVC tape before the trip, and this has worked well so far. Do you own testing and figure out if this setup suits your needs before embarking on anything serious. B) The headlamp is not designed to be attached to a caving helmet: the best setup must be worked out on a case-by-case basis and reverting to factory state will be impossible. Mine had to be modified by sawing away unnecessary parts and drilling holes. I’ve bought a second one, which is used for night hiking. Superb – the feeling of walking surrounded by a warm bubble of light is just awesome.

This is my 2nd set I have purchased so that I can charge the one while using the other. It has a fair amount of time of use. The brightness is pretty good, and the spread of light is very wide. Just received this. Charged battery & will see. Have put it on a 4 hour test. Nice light, as others have pointed out very good spread of light. Battery, Just over 4 hrs working life. Charging time on test now. I suspect this headlamp is designed for helmets. Just ordered another. Might look for a battery pack that will clip onto the head strap. All to expensive. Value for money, Yes. Easy to use, yes. There are headlamps with larger batteries, they are expensive compared to this one. Delivery, GOOD. If you do not need to wear this all the time, connect a power pack. I like these, use to be an HGV driver, working at night, Magic. I also like the flashing feature, loads of workers use this to attract attention, good or bad. Can also be used if you breakdown to warn others, small price for your safety. Watch this space for updates
