Well worth the money
We had purchased a cheaper E collar and it was so hard to change the strength of the zap. Our dog trainer suggested this collar and it has been a breeze to use. Yes, you pay more, but you reduce the chance of your dog getting a super high jolt or not one at all. This has been one of the best items we have bought for our girl and training has been a relaxed and rewarding time. BTW she is an 11 month old energetic dog.

Awesome product!
This is my second Educator collar! The first I used for approximately 5 years with HEAVY use! Saltwater exposure every weekend during the summer was no match to this collar! I do think I prefer the mini educator with the round remote a little better! Although I’ve only had this one for two weeks so it is probably more of a getting used to the buttons. The remote definitely fits better in my hand and I also like the beep feature. My pup just don’t know how to react to it yet😂. My first collar didn’t have that only shock and vibrate. I know this is a long winded response and I hope you make it this far as I believe it is the most important part! About 2 years in on my mini educator I had to call and get the collar replaced. Second ring a HUMAN answered the phone. Barely asked questions when I said the collar wouldn’t charge and sent me a brand new one! All she asked was to send the old back! I even tried to pay as I know letting Bella play in the ocean with it on has to be hard on it. If you are on the hunt and can’t decide I highly recommend you just going ahead and get it! I’ve tried cheaper collars and they are not even a close match to these! I will never own a different brand due to the quality and most importantly the customer service I received!

Changed from 4 to 5 stars
This is the third e-collar I've gotten in just a few months. The first on seemed to have a mind of it's own and also a very irritating sleep mode. I did a review you can read if you just click my name. The next was a sport dog 1225. It worked fine for a few weeks, then the shock stopped working. I had to keep turning it off and on until it worked. I had been watching YouTube videos on this stuff and noticed that, what seems to be the best videos also had the trainer holding that yellow thing. I checked it out and got one. It's worked up till now except for once, and that was a collar/contact issue. There must be something wrong with me, because I found the instructions very clear and had the thing programmed in just a few minutes. I did switch to the clip-on style collar. I like the charger too. A mini usb on the transmitter and a standard 5v plug on the collar. The sport dog uses their own plugs, so if you forget your charger, your out of luck. Also, we've been to the river and stuck in the rain - yes - it's waterproof. The led light is useful too. I forgot to mention, it comes with software for your pc. just plug in your mini usb on the transmitter and run the software. 4 stars for now. I'll edit in a few months. I go 5 stars (8/27/18)

Excellent Training Collar & Support
I had an older version so when replacing i stuck with the E900. Directions for doing certain function were not clear, nor was AI when checking. Yet, they put a card in box for support and when I was getting frustrated their support walked through the desired function. Easy call, person pleasant, and swiftly resolved any questions.

Great e-collar
We love this e-collar and it definitely has been helping train our dog. Wouldn't trust any other brand. Only reason I give it 4 stars is because of a few QC gripes with the accessories... 1) The lanyard that it comes with is too short and is poorly made. At hanging level it's fine but since the mount is on top of the unit, when you flip it up it's hard to see. Needs to be about 2" longer. The material feels like a cheap fabric and don't imagine it lasting very long with regular use. Considering the cost of the unit, you'd think they'd provide a quality lanyard. Went out and got a 3rd party lanyard for a few bucks and it is much nicer. 2) The belt clip is too tight and not very easy to clip on to your pocket unless it's very thin material. 3) I was going to buy the quick clip attachment they sell but there's way too many reviews about how it always breaks. They should make the clip more robust and it should be included with the unit. 4) It would be nice if it came with a USB C charging port instead of the old micro USB port. 5) The software was difficult to find and difficult to install. It's not on their own website and the other site that your supposed to dl it from doesn't even have it anymore. Once you do finally find it and install it, it keeps giving a message that Java was not installed even though I know it was installed and updated. Had to repeat the process several times until it finally worked. Keep in mind, I'm pretty tech-savvy and build PCs from scratch so good luck to the average user who isn't PC literate. The GUI looks dated and not very user-friendly. Based on the install issues and appearance, appears the software was made for an older version of Windows and just needs to be updated. The software is what you would expect to get with a $20 knockoff collar, not with a brand as good as EZ Educator. All these are relatively small gripes and none of them would deter me from buying it again.

Best trainer
We've had many e-collars for our dogs and this is by far the best one. The battery charge lasts an average of 3 days of use. Mind you that we usually are only using the beep or vibrate feature. I'm sure if you used the zapper more often that it might drain the battery faster. The collar fits well on our dogs neck and she doesn't seem to be bothered by the leads. I was having some issues with the settings because the dial didn't seem to be adjusting the power settings, so I called customer service. I was immediately met by a very nice lady who walked me through the process of unlocking the setting. Within seconds I had the controller back to being able to adjust the power settings. The feature that I really enjoy is the flashlight on the collar that you can turn on. My dog is often times out in the backyard at night and she doesn't always do what she's supposed to do. Turning on the flash light shows me right where she's at. I'm sure this would also come in very handy if you wer to go on walks at night. There are soo many features still available that we don't use.

Unreliable. Do not buy.
We were looking for a straightforward, safe ecollar to use on our dog for basic training. We purchased this collar and were using it under the guidance of our dog trainer. Shortly after we started using it, it began to malfunction. Most concerning, were the delays in the upward charge. The control dial was not immediately responding when we increased the intensity or showing the level of increase, but then would surge without warning. The result was an extreme shock to our dog. We called the company and they determined that the control was defective. They gave us a replacement control, but we are very hesitant to use it after what happened to or dog the first time. All of this happened after 90-days, so we are unable to return the product and get our money back through Amazon. The company will not refund our money. Our only recourse is their warranty program, which is not helpful when we are fundamentally hesitant to use the product given the instability and potential harm to our dog. There are very straightforward, very simple and safe collars on the market for much less than this product. I will probably end up throwing this collar out and buying something else.
