I have headsets in different locations (home, office, etc.). I only gave 4 stars as I just bought the adapter and consequently can't speak to its durability.Several other reviewers noted problems with adapters purchased from other sellers. In light of those comments in addition to this adapter, I bought a less expensive adapter from another seller at the same time I bought this adapter. The other adapter did not work at all with any of the headsets - didn't even get static. It hit the garbage the day it arrived. In view of my experience, I just ordered two more headset buddies to have one for each headset. It works, but there is a lot of crackling on my end. The other person on the call cannot hear it. So I compared a few of the 2.5mm female to 3.5mm male adapters and here is the results below. I also note a RJ9 to 2.5mm adapter if you have that kind of headset on your hands, another option to consider.This Headset Buddy was BEST IN SOUND QUALITY among those we tried, though all of those we tried were acceptable. However, I should note there are many reviews warning the MD 83612 adapter wiring breaks easily, I haven't used it enough to have an opinion on that. Some folks are using electrical tape or heat shrink tubing to lengthen the adapters expected lifetime.
