I bought my first Bentgo lunch box and really liked the size and layout of the compartments. It feels solid. I wound up having an issue with the unit and Bentgo customer support replaced it almost immediately. After a few months, the plastic hinge nubs broke off. Once again, their customer support sent me a new one, this time an upgraded unit with metal hinges. Their products are great and their customer support is even better.

I love the sleek design and the color is beautiful! I purchased this for my son and it keeps his food warm throughout his school day until he was ready to eat. It does not leak in his bookbag like the others he had prior. There are some issues. Where the tip folds down there is a plastic piece that holds the lid on. It did break off. However! I was sent another one within a few days of reporting the issue. Customer Service is great! They have a 2 year warranty and they have no problem honoring it! This is the best box I've purchased and most likely the only brand I'll be purchasing from here out. The storage is larger than most and there is a removable tray that allows you to put more food. I was able to fit 2 sandwiches in there. I also love the ease of cleaning due to the removable tray. Great buy!

Perfect! Sturdy- Easy to clean- perfect sized compartments-perfect for an adult- you can take the insert out to wash- the divider insert doesn’t keep liquid from going to the other side-I wrap my deli meat in saran wrap and put it in the smaller side in my salad on the other side. I use the other two slots for either fruit, nuts, slices of cheese, olives, pickles…It’s a very versatile container container. I wouldn’t use it to heat items up. It is a bit pricey, but I think quality speaks for that. I think this will last me a very long time versus some of the other brands and options I saw which seemed kind of flimsy and not as durable.

Final review: the same thing happened with our second box and we’re just going to get a second box of a different brand we already own. The other box has an hinge that opens a little more than 180° and is really helpful for drying on the rack, packing, eating and cleaning. It’s just not as delicate. Update 2: Despite buying this on Amazon, I reached out to the Bentgo customer support via email. They were quick to respond and send out a replacement box once I sent in the requested documentation of damage. I had my box on my doorstep 36 hours later. I’m incredibly impressed. Update to my initial review- I always hand wash these boxes, this one is used by my 1st grader so it’s not roughed up. It’s always packed inside of an insulated lunchbox and is never forced closed. And it’s one of a few she has so it’s not used even 5 days a week. Maybe 2 at the most as it’s not her preferred box. And after less than 4 months the back hinge just cracked right off. Didn’t even make a sound, just popped off so easily that I thought I would be able to reattach. But nope, broken. Very very disappointed. I purchased a few bentgo boxes last year for my kids’ lunches and they were wonderful. But as they grew the boxes weren’t large enough for the amount of food they wanted to take. So I snapped this up this year and it not only looks nice and sleek, and the handle is so pretty against the green color of the box, but it holds so much. I’m able to pack my 1st grader a proper lunch and not cram it in. We still pack a few snacks outside but it holds the bulk now. I also like that the adjustable divider has two options or can be fully removed for one large main space. Our silicone dividers we purchased separately fit nice in the other spaces and it seals perfectly.

This is a great Bento Box--the only thing missing is the cooling tray that comes with other models. Hugs plus for this model's it weighs a lot less and is very good quality! We like the adjustable compartments and it's easy to clean. It fits easily into a backpack and keeps your food nice--why not get it? 🙂

UPDATE: my kindergartener uses this almost every day and it broke after only four or five months, but they quickly replaced it within only a couple of days - so hopefully this one lasts longer! Only lasted approximately 4 1/2 months before the hinge broke.

Good quality and looks classy.

So I am on my second version of this lunchbox. The first one lasted quite some time until I handed it down to my son. Didn't last more than a month. I ordered another one thinking it was just because my first one was getting a little old. Well, to my surprise they completely updated the hinge system and it's no longer a small, two little nub system. They have made it a larger tab and even added a small, metal rod for support. So if you were on the fence about this due to reports of the hinge breaking. Have no fear. An update was made and it is much more sturdy than before. And none of mine have ever leaked. I've had mine sideways in a laptop bag with oil and vinegar dressing and never experienced a leak. Overall a great product. Docked it one star because of the prior poor hinge design.

My daughter (10) loves this lunch box, so much so we bought a second. She finds it can hold a good amount and it has a more mature look and feel than previous Beto boxes. I like how easy it is to clean especially with the removable tray.

It is quite difficult to wash when it is oily.
