I placed the loops 2 inches apart (I placed the top loop on top of two 2" wide masking tape rolls) as I read on some of these long range ones that you can''t get them too close. First I thought you feed it 12V so I connected 12V up to it and got almost nothing out. Then saw the description says it will take 48V input. and went up to 30V which was the max of the power supply. I was able to get 12V at about 1.5A out of it at 2" distance. I switched power supplies to one that will go over 30V.. I slowly started ramping up the voltage and got up to about 36V and I heard a pop. The IC on the receiver blew up way before I got anywhere near 40V, never mind 48v. Waste of $40. Review: The only thing not permitting me to give it more stars is the fact that it squeals for the first 15 minutes or so of continuous use. I read that either a component on board is not receiving enough power or the power filtering is inadequate. Either way would totally buy more if this slight thing was fixed. Otherwise this thing delivers an unbelievable 3 Ampere over the air!
