When this arrived, I handed box to my husband construct. I thought it would take him at least 15 or more minutes (according to some of the reviews), but less than 7 or 8 minutes had passed, and he already had it completed. If I had looked at the sails prior, I might have tried to press out a bit, but will try using my steamer to rid the creases. It was the perfect nautical accent on our mantle at our beach home. It sits on a flat stand ((3x10) and measures just over 20” high and 21” wide, point to point. Width of boat is 4 inches. Well made for the price.

Did not expect assembly. Figured it out..no instructions.

I purchased one of these ships, mostly to see how good the ships look. This ship is perfect for displaying on a shelf. I will buy other ships eventually. The instructions are really not helpful. The masts are numbered, although the stickers came off a few of the strings/ropes, so that made it a bit confusing to assemble. The masts came tangled in the box, so that made assembly more time-comsuming. Both the instructions and packing need to improve. I simply used the Amazon photos to help with assembly.

Grate quality

Hull is crafted very nice as are the sails however I found it necessary to add lengths of line to the forward sail rigging to establish the proper rake of the main mast.

First, the boat came damaged. It was packed in a thin flimsy box and the tip of the boat got punctured through the box and the tip of the boat was broken. After opening the strings are in a tangled mess which was frustrating to untangle. Some of the stickers came off that are used in the directions so that makes it more difficult to put together. The sails are terribly wrinkled, so you have to iron them out. Certainly not worth the $56 dollars I paid! Very cheap materials. Should only be worth $30 to pay.

I returned this item due to being of a poor quality 2months ago and I still have not received a refund!

It is a really nice ship, just the size I wanted to fill the available space I had. It did arrive damaged though, which was disappointing. I still gave it 5 stars as it wasn't the seller's fault - although maybe they could have packaged it better. The styrofoam block that was protecting the hull was broken (the ship looks like it went through a hailstorm LOL!) and the hull was scraped. I chose to accept a discount rather than return it, as my husband said he could touch it up.

Beautifully made, just the sails to be attached, a job I’m leaving to the recipient of this present to do! Just hope they find it as attractive as I do and are as pleased with it!
