Permatex 80037 Valve Grinding Compound, 3 oz., White

I find this product very handy in my garage because it operates smoothly and keeps things tidy. It does exactly what I need without any fuss, which makes my chores a lot easier.

Worked quickly when used to lap a new valve into a cylinder. For deep pits in the valve seats I did up to 3 cycles of new paste. Compression went from 105 to 180 on the bad cylinder, and from 150 to 180 on the others that didn't even look that bad to start with.

Does not take too much, cuts quickly,it’s been a handy addition for maintaining my bike. 😊

Works well for my hand valve grinding on some old 1600 beetle heads. Gets nice and fine after a minuit of grinding Put a bit on, spin and tap. Clean. Inspect, reapply and go till happy

Followed the instructions I found online (removing the wheel covers, swapping the gear situation and putting it back together to reverse the rotation of the rotary mower) Sharpens nicely though I do recommend you use gloves as it does say its a carcinogen and I understand this compound is a bunch of tiny shards of metal, please protect your fingers, you only have one set of hands. I was under the impression that this was a powder that needed to be mixed with water to use (as it suggested a mouth mask and eye protection) but its already a wet paste ready to be smeared on the blade so not much risk of inhaling unless you leave it to dry out. Idk about other uses but for sharpening a rotary blade push mower (non-gas) it works perfectly

Perfect consistency.I used it as a sharpening compound for my reel push mower with good results.
