I got mine new and was super stoked. I mean an awesome overdrive is something everyone needs. It's expensive, but they are an upper end pedal, so you get what you pay for.... sorta. I have a problem with mine out of the box were at times it would work, then it wouldn't. This thing is brand new and I was a little ticked. I called JHS Customer Service and they were great to work with, but of course I would need to send it in. Total BS for a new pedal that I have to send it in. Well I've got some background in Electronics, and I can solder pretty decent, so I pulled the cover and got my USB Microscope out. What I found was two solder joints that didn't have any solder on the wire to the post on the foot switch. So I fixed it. Support said that it wouldn't void my warranty, and I told them what I found and did to repair it. This is why I have them 4 stars. JHS has discontinued the 808 and replaced it with the Moonshine. I like it better. Just a bit more raw in the midrange.
