Kwik Tek LL-1 is great.
This rope bag is a must for all boaters. You may never need it, but it's nice to have if you need to help someone else. Wind, current and the human factor contribute to many accidents. This is just another safety tool in the tool box. It's 50ft which is plenty in most cases. They also make a 75ft. Please read the directions and practice at least once or twice before hanging it on your vessel. Some other brands can be expensive but I found this one to be reasonably priced.

The Best Value in a Quality Water Rescue Throw Bag!
We are a rafting and kayaking family, with two adults and our young children, too! We each carry these for emergency use in our kayaks whenever we head out. In addition, we secure all four in our raft in case they are needed, ensuring that we will be able to deploy one or more in emergency situations. These are lightweight and easy to use. Our youngest, a first grader, can easily toss this when needed. We also use these with the Scouts in training them in water rescue techniques. You cannot beat the quality, reliability and ease of use with these throw bags....all important factors for something that can and will save lives!

Purchase is as expected.
If your looking for a high quality throw bag, this is not it. However if your lifeguards are not good at keeping their gear dry, which is hard on gear, why buy the expensive ones. These work fine for basic throws and will last at least a season without destroying our more expensive ones.

Good for Training and Scouting
I have these for training Boy Scouts water rescue skills as well as using them when we go out canoeing or white water rafting. They work as advertised and as long as you remember to let them dry out before storing them; they will last a long time if properly taken care of. One Caveat about these as well as any throw bag, if you are using them in a clorinated environment (i.e. a pool) for training, put them in a dry bag WET then rinse them off once you get back home and hang them out to dry. I forgot to do that to one of mine and the clorine ate through the canvas bag and rope within 1 summer of training sessions (3 a day 5 days a week) granted, more use than standard, but information you may want to consider if you are going to use this for any type of training, or if you are a lifeguard and want to keep this in your jump bag or straped on your waist pack for a quick throw item. These are very light weight and on a Sunny day, they can dry out in about 30-45 minutes. Overall, I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a quick introduction to throwbags. I would also recommend these to any and all Scoutmasters or troops for both training purposes of both 2nd class and 1st class rank requirements as well as any water activities. I will definately be purchasing more of these for both myself and for my Troop!

life span of bag wasnโt as long as expected.
Have had this on boat dock, exposed on dock post next to life preserver ring...the canvas bag basically disintegrated afte about 14 months. Thought it might last longer. Overall a very good product up until the bag tears apart.

Kwik Tek LL-1 Life Line Throw Bag
Ordered and received a Kwik Tek LL-1 Life Line Throw Bag. Upon arrival, it appears well built with very basic instructions printed on carry bag. Took it into my yard and was able to accurately throw it, deploying the majority of line with ease. My purpose for this item is to carry it on my kayak and frankly, I hope I never have to use it, but feel confident it willl do the job should the need arise. I consider it a quality item that's well worth the money.

Great to bad fast
I would highly recommend the bag at first. Easy to throw and has great distance at 50 ft, But after a couple of throws the bag itself starts to fall apart and disintegrate. Now you have just a rope without a bag. Making the whole thing useless.

Good Enough for Clam Outdoors, Good Enough for Me
My husband was gifted a Clam Outdoors rescue rope many years ago at one of their events. I have started ice fishing with him and I needed my own rescue rope for obvious safety reasons. He found this one on Amazon which is the same company that makes Clamโs and was over $10 lower in price. Both are identical. The wording is the same and you can see the only difference is Clam has their logo put on the bag.

Good item
Good instructions. Suggest you and your crew work with it on dry land so you don't throw the wrong end in an emergency.

Gotta have one
If you are boating you have to have one of these. The bag of rope is a much cleaner and easier way to carry a safety line that a coil of rope.
