Surprisingly it was sharp out of the package. Sadly The handle is plastic polymer and doesn't balance well but works as a great knife and looks cool. The sheath is a cheap plastic and is awkward belt loop and side slots. Wasn't able to mount to my 511 belt or other gear. But the knife in general has help up camping and hunting and being hammered.
