32 Electronic Tanning Bed Starter 180 watt K11 S12 Replace Philips or Cosmedico

I had about 2 that didn't light my lamps in my tanning bed properly, even replaced the lamp and it did a flickering motion before turning on light a regular starter. All in all pretty satisfied. Update, had to reduce it a star. I had 3 starters that basically melted at the top. Not sure why they are happening as it's for a bed with 160w lamps.

I had just relamped my in home tanning bed and replaced the starters at the same time with new standard Phillips starters. Qty 16-180W tubes in the canopy and 16-100W tubes in the bed. After about 5 -10hrs of use, I had canopy bulbs that were failing to ignite and showed signs of darkening. I swapped known good starters around with out much improvement. Still seemed hit or miss if they would start. That’s when I went looking for better starters. I suspected the darkening bulbs were done for. I received my order of 32 solid state starters and installed 4 of the new starters in the canopy and turned them on while watching (through welding goggles of course.) The new starters lit the bulbs instantly with no flickering while the old style starters flickered for about 2 seconds before the remainder finally ignited. No comparison in the speed. Replaced ALL of the remaining starters in my bed with these solid state starters. Even the blackening bulbs which I thought were already done for ignited immediately. Since I just received them and installed them, it will be months before I have any history on how well they hold up over time. If I have any prematurely fail, I’ll revisit this post with updates. I see no reason at this time to ever go back to standard starters after upgrading to the solid state style. The starters I ordered were rated for 80W-180W so the one type worked for all my lamps.

Very pleased so far. Fixed my problem of 6 six bulbs that we thought were bad but were not. Shipped faster than expected. Great price compared to others.
