Is the sidescan of the transduce of this unit half and half? means front half for port side(so not blocked by engine), rear half for starboard side?

No, port and starboard out as far as you set. Depending on depth of water, distance can be 20 to several hundred feet port or starboard

Transducer cable length

I didn't measure it but it should be 25 feet long. On my 18' boat the cable reaches from the bow all the way back to the stern transom mount location with some extra length. The installation manual states "If your transducer cable is not long enough to reach the chartplotter, you can add an extension cable (Garmin part number 010-11617-42 or 010-11617-32, not included). To avoid signal degradation, do not extend the cable more than 9 m (30ft.).
