The Shield Pro stand is for the 2015 Shield 16 GB, 2015 Shield Pro, and 2017 Shield Pro. Only the 2017 Shield 16 GB changed dimensions. The 2017 Shield Pro is still the original size. My tv stand is made of glass and now I can't remove it lol.** A: The bottom of the stand is covered with a material called microsuction adhesive. It is intended to be a temporary adhesive that keeps things in place on a surface. The material is comprised of thousands of tiny little suction cups that when the device is pressed against the surface creates a suction that holds it in place. If you see this before you place it on your furniture, put the stand in the fridge and put an ice pack on your furniture to cool it down. That way when you place the stand the air will expand slightly and cause the suction to be less efficient but much easier to get off. If you have found this as the result of putting this on your furniture and not being able to get it off, I recommend you use a blow dryer on low or a heat gun set to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Simply move the heat gun around the edges of the device and over-the-top for about 2 to 3 minutes, then attempt to twist it off. Any excess residue can usually be pulled off with a thumb, or hit with the heat gun and it should come right up. The gun causes the tiny little air bubbles creating the suction to expand in there for reduces the overall stickiness. **Q: So is this the stand for the 2017 model?** A: I bought the Shield Edition and it fits my 2015 model just perfect. **Q: Will this fit the 2020 Nvidia Shield pro model?** A: It does I already had that item and took out my old shield and put the Pro right into it. It does serve a purpose *by F***N on June 15, 2019* Some people wonder why you need a device such as this. I was one of those people. When you start to accumulate a crap load of stuff like: modem, router, cable box, TV boxes, wires, etc. etc. you start to want some order. It seems like after a while everything is just everywhere. I was trying to prop my Nvidia shield up alongside of my Orbi router and it just was not working. So I hop on good old Amazon and lo and behold look what I find. Despite the fact I spent 1999, I am very happy with the item, and it works well, and it does what it is supposed to do. Keeps my Nvidia shield upright and in tiptop shape.
