Does the leash need batteries too?

The leash connects right in to the doll toy for it to function. Batteries go into the body of the dog underneath. It’s very cute, my daughter loves it!!

What is the length of the leash?

32 inches from least insertion site on pet dog to where the little fingers go on the handhold

Can the tutu be removed?

I don’t know the answer to your question so I’m sorry. We gave it as a gift. It does have to take special AA batteries or it won’t work with standard AA batteries
